Thank you for visiting my site! My name is Jason Smith but many people call me “Jay”. I respond to either so don’t get too hung up on that.

I am currently a Sr. Customer Engineer – App Modernization Specialist at Google Cloud. That means that I help customers and users find a way to move from their legacy monolithic architectures to a more microservices based architecture.

I am a native Texan but now reside in the SF Bay Area. When I am not doing tech stuff, I enjoy travel, hiking, and being a DEI-B advocate. I am the founder and former global chair of the Mixed Googlers ERG.
